The exchange of skills and know-how between the Touareg team based in Mali and their western partners is already taking place but is also a future challenge for Taghreft Tinariwen. Specific training programmes are in the process of being organised. Their aim is to develop skills among the local population in the following areas:

• Internet and website creation

• Information Technology

• Live music (sound engineering, lighting, event organisation)

• The cultural professions (marketing, promotion, organisation, copyright, distribution etc)

• Traditional crafts (jewellery, leather work, carpentry, decoration, tanning)
